I am CATCHING your attention

Well, that's that! I couldn't think of anything better for a title today! But I am going back to school today.. blah! Seriously, living this careless life for three weeks is real big tease. Then when you feel like you got the hang of it, back to school you go! So since I'm a real drag right now... here is my friend, Amie! She's gonna fill your knowledge with working-out tips (I know you are working-out right now). And she's a good one to take advice from because I think she's ran a bazillion half-marathons and when she's done running them she looks like she ran around the block. So read and then go visit her blog!

Hello to all of you 3 Oh 1 Grace St. Readers!   My name is Amie and I blog over at eat.pray.love.run, and Samantha has asked me to do a guest post for her today! She is a little busy this week, as she starts her semester again for grad school after her lovely holiday break!

Just a little background info…Samantha and I grew up together and have stayed close friends since. And to add to our friendship, we are sort of related because our husbands are first cousins, so we get to see each other at family gatherings!

Back when we were young...

At my wedding this past summer…

Since I started my blog, Samantha has been so helpful in giving me tips and answering any questions I have about blogging! She’s awesome and I like to call her my blog mentor/blog mom!

Today for my guest post, I thought in the spirit of the new year and resolutions, I would share some fitness advice! I know we are all very busy and it seems like our biggest challenge is finding TIME to workout! So here are a few tips and helpers for all of us busybodies to get that workout in, stay healthy, and feel great:

Tip #1 – Checkout this App
I got this new app from a friend, called Workout Trainer! You can download it on any Apple or Android device! It has workouts specific to what you area you want to work on and how much time you have. It also gives you a variety of workouts, whether you are at the gym, or just at home. It shows you how to do each exercise with photos and videos! I’ve only had it for a few days and already love it! Go check it out!

Tip #2 – Every Little Bit Helps
Some days, it is pretty hard to be able to get any type of workout or trip to the gym in, so try adding something little to your daily routine or making small adjustments, such as these ideas:
·      Park a little further away in the morning to get a longer walk in from your car to work (if the forecast is ok for the day)
·      Take the stairs (my coworkers and I always choose stairs over the elevator and I feel it in my legs everyday)
·      On one of your breaks during the day, take a short walk, or do some stretching exercises
·      If you have an office, trade out your chair for a fitness ball for an hour or more out of the day

Tip #3 – Find A Buddy
Working out is always easier and more fun if you are doing it with someone else! Try a class at your gym, grab a friend and go for a walk or jog, or find a good partner to do weights or circuits with so you can motivate eachother!

I hope these tips help you start out your new year on a positive fitness note, thanks for reading! Be sure to leave Samantha some love and if you get time, come check out my blog over here!
